β Back to roasting
The honest version
What We Keep
We roast your resume. That means a machine reads it, judges it, and hands you a verdict. Here's exactly what happens to your data along the way β no legalese, no dark patterns.
Your file is never stored
When you upload a PDF/DOC/DOCX, it's read into memory, sent to the AI for analysis, and thrown away when the request ends. We never write the file to a disk, a bucket, or anywhere else. The original file does not survive the roast.
What we DO keep
Here's what we keep, and exactly why we keep it.
Why we save this #1: to run the roast and show it on the public "Recently Destroyed" wall.
Why we save this #2: so that if I ever build resume-fixing or other job-related tools later, I can share them with you.
With that out of the way, here's what actually lands in our database once your roast is generated:
- Your contact details
- Your career information
- Your resume text (the text we pull out, not the file itself)
Yes, that includes your full resume text. It's what the AI actually roasts. Not into it? Don't upload. No hard feelings.
What's public
The "Recently Destroyed" wall on the homepage shows recent roasts, but only as a first name plus a last initial (e.g. "Kavishnavi R."). All your other details are never shown publicly.
Who runs this
REKT is run by one person, me, Vigneshkumar M. I don't sell your data. There's no sales team to sell it, shady or otherwise.
Make us forget you
Want your data deleted? Email vigneshkumarm2002@gmail.com and we'll wipe everything tied to you. No interrogation, no "are you sure?" five times.
Last updated 2026. We'll update this if what we store changes.
